Overview
LMI is seeking an F-35 Integrated Lifecycle Logistics, Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense's transfer of sustainment activities for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program from the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) to the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and the Department of the Navy (DoN). The F-35 Integrated Lifecycle Logistics, SME ensures a balance of logistics and sustainment priorities, while creating and maintaining efficient and effective financial and business processes to support the F-35 enterprise.

Responsibilities
- Supervise onsite skilled personnel with the needed technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of DoD sustainment skills to collect, organize, analyze, and brief F-35 sustainment data.
- Assess and plan the implementation strategy for the transfer of three F-35 sustainment Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSEs) for Supply Support, Maintenance Planning, and Technical Data.
- Evaluate potential changes to the F-35 program and decisions on future transfers of other sustainment functions for the F-35 and identify the management of data rights for each IPSE.
- Analyze opportunities that delineate product support authorities of Service Deputies in the program construct of the IPSEs for the F-35A, F-35B, and F-35C by Service.
- Assess supply support plans looking at Primary/Secondary Inventory Control Activity responsibilities between the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) and the Department of the Air Force and the Department of the Navy (DoN) sustainment organizations.
- Develop and update the Integrated Master Schedule with milestones, evaluation criteria, reports, and deliverables within lifecycle sustainment functions.
- Develop time-phased action plans, assess costs and benefits, analyze implementation risks.
- Research existing platforms and develop ways to optimize the utilization of F-35 sustainment data generated by systems across the F-35 enterprise to boost system performance and mitigate operational risks.
- Assess and provide recommendations on the entire suite of sustainment metrics to provide lifecycle management, monitoring, and continuous improvement to a fully transitioned F-35 fleet.
- Address intellectual property and technical data matters to enable supply support and maintenance planning.
- Support program operations, report metrics and improvements, and develop policies and procedures.
- Communicate and coordinate with OASD(Sustainment) leadership and key stakeholders to track progress, resolve issues, and identify risks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Secret clearance is required.
- Master's degree.
- Significant, direct logistics domain expertise, technical knowledge, and relevant experience in support of the F-35 programs.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a functional expert, consultant, or manager, spanning a range of logistical disciplines, in the development of unique and innovative solutions to challenging problems.
- Signfiicant experience engaging with senior DoD executive leadership.
- Expertise analyzing customer requirements and providing technical solutions that result in an integrated product support approach to DoD weapon system program execution.
- Experience with organizing, planning, leading, and collaborating with technical and cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills to successfully deliver briefings and interact with executive client leadership.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high quality work under time constraints.
- Strong MS Office skills (including Excel and SharePoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
