Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Manager with strong technical writing skills to join our dynamic team. The Proposal Manager will be responsible for managing the entire proposal process, from initial RFP analysis to final submission, ensuring that proposals are compliant, compelling, and tailored to the requirements of each opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, persuasive content.

- Lead and manage the end-to-end proposal development process, including the creation of timelines, assignment of responsibilities, and coordination of contributions from cross-functional teams.
- Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitation documents to understand client requirements and develop compliance matrices.
- Develop and maintain a proposal library of standard materials, templates, and past performance documentation.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and write clear, concise, and compelling proposal content.
- Ensure all proposal components are complete, compliant, and adhere to company standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate and lead proposal review sessions, including color team reviews (e.g., Pink, Red, Gold) to ensure quality and consistency.
- Manage the proposal schedule to ensure timely submission and address any issues that may arise during the proposal process.
- Perform final quality checks on proposals to ensure accuracy, formatting consistency, and adherence to RFP requirements.
- Continuously improve proposal processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in proposal management and technical writing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in proposal management, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
- Proven experience in technical writing, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, reader-friendly content.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with proposal management software (e.g., Salesforce, SharePoint, or other CRM systems) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage input from multiple stakeholders.
- Certification from the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) is preferred but not required.
