Our National Security Sector is seeking a Software Engineer to support an enterprise IT program. We are looking for a Software Engineer with full stack development, cloud engineering/architecture, and containerization experience. In this role you will support the creation of custom applications, scripts, solutions and other requirements which support analysis of high priority intelligence issues.
In this role you will:
  • Create custom tool sets; custom software, data extract, transform and load solutions for a wide variety of datasets and deliver those solutions via various infrastructure configurations such as on cloud infrastructure, on-premises-and-cloud hybrid infrastructure, or on local infrastructure.
  • Utilize coding best practices and adhere to security requirements to develop innovative user interface designs in response to analyst, user analyses, product innovation, technology, and business needs.
  • Support and/or create databases to connect to applications, as necessary, ensuring user interface guidelines and standards are followed during the development and maintenance of the product.
  • Present design concepts and negotiate with stakeholders to arrive at a design that supports both the business need and a strong user experience.
  • Conduct and participate in product usability tests.
  • Communicate and work effectively with cross-functional team members including but not limited to analysts, data scientists, management, project managers, and software solutions integrators.
  • Maintain existing applications or developed applications per required enterprise or local requirements such as patching or other updates or upgrades.
  • Create or maintain documentation on technical solutions to include architecture diagrams, minimum viable product templates, user guides, user or functional testing instructions, quick references, development framework guides, APIs, and documentation related to technical solutions developed.

Basic Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • Typically requires BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience with setting up and maintaining Cloud based DevOps functionality.
  • Demonstrated experience with Java, JavaScript, Python or similar development languages and associated frameworks for applications development such as Flask, ReactJS or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience working with data in, and developing applications with, SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting system design and architecture.
  • Demonstrated strong coordination and collaboration skills with ability to work successfully across organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated experience with performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting and de-bugging applications and services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, deploying and maintaining containerized applications and databases.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with the client's deployment of AWS, experience deploying applications within the client's environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile software development cycle.
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated experience with geospatial data, visualization, and relevant analytic methods and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience manipulating large datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience with open source data engineering tools and processes.

Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
