Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will have experience in database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances and associated software.Monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency.Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and availability.Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and manage user access.Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for various applications.Assist in database design and architecture for new projects and enhancements.Perform routine maintenance tasks, including data migrations and upgrades.Collaborate with application developers to support database-related application development.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of SQL Server database management and administration.Proficiency in T-SQL programming and database scripting.Experience with backup and recovery solutions, performance tuning, and monitoring tools.Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance standards.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
