We are looking for an early to
mid-career Configuration/Data Management (CDM) professional to support our NASA customer for our MIPSS contract located at Marshall Space Flight Center to start immediately! Victory Solutions offers competitive benefits, flexible work schedules and an exciting mission!
General Summary:
The successful CDM professional will perform the configuration and data management functions on hardware development programs to support the Space Launch System (SLS) Program at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). This position will perform the Receipt & Release Desk function utilizing ICE-Windchill, CMW, Jira and other Microsoft Office products to support the change management process and maintain the program technical baseline. Working as part of a team with a senior R&RD team member, this position is part of the SLS System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) office under the SLS Configuration Management Office Manager. Successful implementation requires initiative and flexibility to work effectively with program personnel as well as an understanding of the principals of CDM. The ability to support the change management process, work closely with others in a team environment, balance a variety of tasks in an extremely active environment and interface with personnel across the Agency for a large hardware development program are key characteristics of the R&D position.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Interface with personnel across the SLS Program and Element Offices to provide guidance relative to the R&RD processes.Support the SLS SE&I CDM team with the management of change requests within ICE-Windchill.Perform the Configuration Status Accounting function utilizing a Jira database.Understand the impacts of changes to the technical baseline and assist in the integration function between technical disciplines.Handle CUI, ITAR and other export control or proprietary data following NASA and MSFC requirements and guidelines.Job Specifications:
Bachelor's Degree is desired, with related experience to include change management, , data management and/or configuration status accounting. The following may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree requirement: Associates Degree and 2 additional yrs experience -or- High School Diploma and 4 additional yrs experience.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Power Point) is required.Strong organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills are required.Configuration management, particularly change management, experience is desired.Demonstrated ability to work independently but as a member of a team to accomplish program objectives is desiredExperience with electronic data management systems is desired. Expertise using ICE-Windchill is preferred.Certification in CDM or related field such as the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) Certification is desired.Expertise with utilizing CMW, JIRA, ACCESS or similar database is desired.Experience with handling sensitive data is desired.Ability to obtain clearance/access onsite at NASA MSFC required.US Citizenship required.
