Local Content Coordinator

to work onshore at our Georgetown shore base.ROLE PURPOSE:The Local Content Coordinator shall be primarily responsible for supporting the execution of our Local Content strategy at the Georgetown shore base. Reporting to the Local Content Lead, the Coordinator will assist in the coordination and monitoring of Local Content initiatives, ensuring that relevant stakeholders across Projects, Brownfield, and Operations are aligned with the company’s Local Content objectives and regulatory requirements.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Local Content Support

Assist the Local Content Lead in the execution of the Local Content strategy, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration between internal teams (Supply Chain, Projects, and Operations) and external stakeholders.Provide operational support in tracking Local Content initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and SBM Offshore's business goals.Serve as the point of contact for local suppliers, facilitating communication of SBM’s technical requirements and assisting with the implementation of their Local Content plans as part of their contractual obligations.Work closely with the Supply Chain Department to support knowledge transfer initiatives, ensuring suppliers develop capabilities that align with SBM Offshore’s capacity development objectives.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

Assist in maintaining stewardship metrics and performance indicators (KPIs) to track supplier development and Local Content achievements.Support the preparation of reports for internal reviews and regulatory submissions, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Work in close collaboration with the Local Content Lead and other departments to ensure that Local Content considerations are embedded in daily operations, minimizing duplication of efforts across teams.Contribute to internal planning and reporting processes by providing relevant data and insights on Local Content initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other related duties as assigned to support the company’s Local Content goals.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related business field.Experience in project management or project execution with the ability to assist in delivering projects on time and within scope.Prior experience in a role related to Local Content or supplier development is an advantage.Strong communication skills, particularly in engaging with stakeholders and local suppliers.Strong organizational and analytical skills to assist in tracking and reporting on Local Content metrics.Public speaking proficiency or a willingness to develop presentation skills.Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities.WORKING CONDITIONS:Monday to Friday, office hours.Office located in Georgetown.Busy, fast-paced environment.COMPENSATION PACKAGE:Permanent, full-time position.Medical and Life Insurance benefits.If you are interested and meet the requirements to perform this role, please apply via:Currently, we are seeking candidates who are Guyanese and living in Guyana.We wish to thank all applicants for their interest.
