This position is responsible for providing sales leadership and support to CSM’s hotels as assigned by the VP of Sales. The Task Force Director of Sales may fill in for vacant positions, train new sales leaders, and/or provide support to improve sales performance. Works with hotels to achieve revenue expectations, maximize profit and ensure positive team member relations. Functions as both an interim leader and troubleshooter as well as an individual contributor.Key Responsibilities:Responsible to act as DOS while position is vacant.Builds and maintains strong client relationships in support for targeted business.Use Negotiating skills and strong selling abilities to close and negotiate business.Effectively communicate with all department within the hotel to ensure accurate delivery of client expectations.Supports the sales success of assigned hotels by executing the following:Identifies and develops strategic action plans to address challenges and barriers.Develops, implements and maintains comprehensive business plans that define hotels’ objectives and support financial goals.Utilizes sales expertise to analyze, revise and implement changes to sales and marketing plans and actions as directed by Regional VP of Sales.Generates hotel revenue through achievement of specific goals and action plans for assigned hotel(s).Participates in selection and training of new sales associates, using CSM processes and brand standards.Leads, directs and supports hotel sales teams to assure achievement of individual and team goals. Provides feedback, coaching and mentoring and effectively manages performance that is not meeting expectationsUtilizes standardized pre-trip planning and post-trip reporting processes in timely and relevant manner.Adheres to and champions Delphi and / or brand specific PMS systems within assigned hotel(sEducation/Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 3-5 years in direct hotel sales and marketing with hotels of like brand, segment, and rate level as the CSM portfolio.Proven detail orientation with strong organization, self-motivation and verbal/written communication skills.Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%.Proficient in MS Office applications, Outlook and webinar software.Preference for multi-property sales/leadership experience.
