The Consumer Insights Manager is responsible for leading a team to enable the acquisition, analysis and reporting of actionable insights using applied market research techniques, as well as in-depth knowledge of the business and consumer/market data, to drive business decisions.The Consumer Insights Manager will partner closely with multi-functional business partners, as well as executives, to gain a deep understanding of high-level business priorities, business challenges and opportunities and will develop strategic recommendations and action plans based on the risk/reward of the opportunities.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with business partners to identify business problems and opportunities, convert them to research needs, develop research plots, design specific studies, interpret & analyze results, and persuasively communicate findings and recommendations to business partners.Proactively ensure business teams have superior consumer, guest, and market understanding via sharing existing learning, identifying gaps and finding ways to fill these.Manage and oversee the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research techniques, including selecting and managing external experts/vendors.Provide the business with a deep understanding of consumer and travel agent behaviors and mindsets to aid strategic and tactical decision-making.Measure and track customer satisfaction and brand health to help manage business performance.Ensure that the Insights team represents the Voice of the Consumer in everything that we do.Provide strong leadership to the team through knowledge of assigned projects, ability to provide clear direction to direct reports, and effectively delegating and managing multiple tasks.Manage the market research budget and own the internal and external management of the market research process.Perform other duties as required.Qualifications:6-10 years of market research project management experience (planning, design, execution, analysis, and reporting).Fully trained in qualitative and quantitative research study design.Market research supplier experience preferred.People management experience.BA/BS in statistics, economics, or market research preferred; MBA or Master’s degree a plus.Knowledge and Skills:Results-oriented approach.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Fundamental competency in data analysis and statistics.Excellent communication skills.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those requirements employees must meet to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
