As the Director of Financial Systems at Freshworks, you will leverage your creativity and innovative thinking to enhance our enterprise applications integration and optimize our financial systems landscape. Your primary focus will be on improving business process efficiency through the development of automated solutions and effective architecture. This position reports directly to the VP of Enterprise Business Applications and collaborates closely with the finance team to design impactful solutions, prioritize initiatives, and drive continuous process improvements. You will also engage with peers across various business functions, such as GTM and HR, to ensure a holistic approach to system design. In this dual-role capacity, you will lead a team of financial systems analysts, developers, and administrators, combining strategic leadership with hands-on involvement. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the line of business (LOB) and functional teams to provide thought leadership, program management, and design innovative financial systems solutions Work alongside the global finance team to establish best practice processes and system integrations that enhance efficiency and optimize the financial systems landscape Maintain in-depth knowledge of regulatory and security requirements to ensure full compliance across all financial systems Lead efforts to optimize solutions, ensuring supportability through efficient searches, scripting, and workflow enhancements Oversee the administration of financial systems, ensuring smooth operations and integration Develop, maintain, and document all technical design elements of financial systems, including workflows, exception handling, and technical test use cases Build effective relationships across the organization to facilitate communication and alignment on system design and process initiatives Provide technical expertise to support data cleansing and transformation efforts Serve as a point of escalation for the day-to-day support team, offering guidance and technical expertise Assess application solutions, features, and related products to identify opportunities for improvement Please note this is a hybrid role with on-site expectations of 3x/week (Tue-Thur) from our San Mateo (HQ) Qualifications
At least 15 years of experience designing and implementing medium to large-scale business systems and components in the realm of ERP and integrations 5+ years of NetSuite experience related to application, administration, solution implementation and support 5+ years of program or project management experience delivering financial SaaS solutions Experience in independently architecting and developing data synchronization solutions across NetSuite and other systems; previous experience using Dell Boomi is a plus Experience in system integration tools such as SuiteTalk, RESTlets, and NetSuite SOAP APIs is a plus. Ability to present work with confidence and persuasion and handle questions effectively from both technical and business stakeholders Quality first mindset and an innovative thinker who is eager to learn, grow, and develop True team player who can easily transition between being a strategic advisor and being hands-on with delivering solutions Additional Information
This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the expected base salary range for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for a target bonus.
