The Software Services team is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager. We operate as a startup within Amazon, providing great flexibility in product and technology direction. As a leader on the team, you will be expected to operate at all levels, growing the team, diving deep into the details while providing strategic inputs for the product. You will be a key player in driving strategic planning, project execution, development of engineering talent, and the ongoing operation and improvement of our products.About the Team

eero was acquired by Amazon in early 2019 and has since been rapidly expanding. Headquartered in San Francisco, the eero Software Services team operates as a distributed team, with team members across the globe, as well as at HQ in SF. The team has a track record of delivering features in quick succession and is looking to accelerate even further, with exciting new initiatives on the horizon. As manager of this new team, you will play a critical role, growing the team as well as the people who are part of the team.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of engineering team management experience7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experienceKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operationsExperience partnering with product or program management teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategyExperience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineersAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
