Review existing training programs; suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and / or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry.Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop training programs that are engaging and effective.Ensure that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and / or industry.Identify problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.Collaborate with Managers to create career pathways for growth plan.Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of training including but not limited to onboarding, one-on-one training, and classroom training for employees.Develop unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.Create and / or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.Ensure internally developed courses deliver consistent messages that are aligned with policies, strategies and business plans.Ensure that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to an approved training budget.Utilize Cornerstone On Demand (LMS) platform to create and manage training content and resources.Prepares and implements training budget, maintains records and reports of expense.Perform other related duties as required.Reports to VP of Construction Technology.Required Skills / Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability.Thorough understanding of the training process.Strong presentation skills with the ability to moderate large groups.Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.Strength in designing and implementing effective training and development.Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work under pressure.Have experience working across multiple-client groups and functions.Some travel to California and Washington required.Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, organizational development, training, business or a related field preferred.3+ years’ experience working in a Learning and Development department or team.Construction / General Contractor or similar industry experience preferred.Learning Management System (LMS) knowledge required, Cornerstone On Demand preferred.Perks and Benefits:
