Responsibilities include architecting and implementing Amazon’s litigation strategy with respect to specific cases; selecting, managing, and improving the performance of outside counsel; advising Amazon leadership on a wide range of novel legal and business risks and opportunities; working with Amazon witnesses and data repositories to prepare for trial; coordinating with Amazon public policy and public relations teams on matters relating to litigation; designing and implementing innovative processes that enable small teams to make high velocity decisions at scale; and providing daily cross-functional leadership to disparate Amazon stakeholders about a range of legal problems involving such areas as contract, business tort, consumer protection, real estate, transportation, advertising, privacy, security, class action, and First Amendment law.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of legal experienceJuris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalentExperience in litigation practice, specifically handling depositionsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.Posted:
