Primary tasks, duties and responsibilities:Promotes and practices the mission, values, policies and procedures of Tidewell Foundation, Inc.Creates strategy, systems, processes and programs to develop successful donor cultivation, giving and recognition, along with the Foundation President, to increase funding for the Tidewell Foundation.Manages and supervises philanthropy team members, as assigned, and oversees their execution to effectively achieve personal goals.Manages a personal portfolio of approximately 150 donors and prospects, and follows-up through personal visits, phone calls and written communication to achieve personal financial goals.Uses donor research to strategically identify new prospects for major gifts in support of Tidewell’s program priorities.Works with Tidewell Hospice clinical directors to identify programmatic opportunities for philanthropic support.Identifies, researches and qualifies prospective major and planned giving donors; ensures each donor and prospect has a clear strategy and timeline for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.Develops and manages relationships with local businesses and foundations with the goal of securing major gifts and sponsorship commitments.Prepares case statements, solicitation and follow-up proposals, communications and other materials for prospects and donors.Develops and implements strategies to increase the number of donors and size of gifts, increase donor retention and methodically advance donors toward the major and planned gift levels.Works closely with philanthropy team and data management to ensure effective coordination of process documentation and progress tracking in Raisers Edge (RE). Provides monthly reports that accurately reflect pipeline activity and performance.Assures stewardship of major gifts and appropriate recognition consistent with donors’ wishes.Provides analysis on established benchmarks and recommends alterations to plans based on current trends. Communicates plans and collaborates on strategies with philanthropy staff.Supports the Foundation President in reaching strategic long- and short-term financial goals.Meets or exceeds individual goals for funds raised, donor retention, new donor cultivation and moves management of donors and others as set.Educational/Professional:Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.CFRE certification preferred.Minimum of ten years’ experience in philanthropy is encouraged with demonstrated experience in successfully cultivating and closing major gifts for at least five of those years.At least two years experience supervising other full-time employees.An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered as meeting the Education/Professional requirements.Responsible to Foundation PresidentEmpath Health values diversity as it strengthens our community and care.
