Baker & McKenzie seeks a business immigration attorney (non-track) to join the Employment & Compensation Practice Group in our Chicago Office to work on a high volume of global and U.S. immigration cases. Responsibilities include:Drafting, preparing, and assembling business NIV and IV petitions, including RFE responses.Drafting client communications.Using internal case management tools to manage multiple assignments.Staying current on emerging legislation and assessing its impact on our clients’ businesses.The candidate must be client service minded and have exceptional analytical, organizational, and case management skills, with the ability to simultaneously handle many tasks concurrently. Top academic credentials, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication and writing skills are required.

Minimum requirements include:One to three years of experience with U.S. business immigration (global immigration experience is a plus).Must provide a writing sample and be admitted to and a member in good standing of the Illinois bar.This position is bonus eligible and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) based on the number of hours worked. The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $130,000 to $145,000 annually if located in an office in the state of Illinois. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
