Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Network & Communications Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in developing and guiding projects to support short and long term mine plans.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Underground Network and Communication Supervisor, the Underground Network and Communication Technician is responsible for the following:Perform all network and communication maintenance duties required in the mine and on surface. Equipment includes, but not limited to fiber optic network, wireless network, Cisco switches, Radio and radio controls.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:
Three (3) years experience with underground network and communications
preferredFormal education in network and/or communications
preferredPossess strong knowledge/skills in Network & Communications repair, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of complex underground equipment
preferredWillingness to learn and apply new skills to repair all underground mobile mining equipment
requiredProven safe work record
requiredWillingness to work in a team based maintenance organization
requiredStrong dedication to safety and courageous leadership
requiredDemonstrated knowledge of SAP/EAM

Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is a joint venture between Barrick (61.5%) and Newmont (38.5%) that combined our significant assets across Nevada in 2019 to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world. NGM produces approximately 3.5 million ounces of gold a year. The massive mining operation comprises eight mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities and hosts three of Barrick's Tier One assets: Carlin, Cortez, and Turquoise Ridge.
