We’re looking for a dynamic General Manager who not only excels in hospitality management but also shares our love for sports and can create an unforgettable experience for our guests.
Job Summary:As the General Manager at Skybox Taphouse, you’ll oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth business functionality. We’re looking for a leader who knows sports inside and out, from football to basketball, and everything in between, creating an environment that’s the best place to catch a game in Waikiki. You’ll inspire your team to deliver top-tier service, maintain operational excellence, and contribute to our sports-centric culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Inspire : Manage and motivate a team of bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, and support employees to provide exceptional service that embodies the Skybox Taphouse brand.
Sports Enthusiast : Use your knowledge of sports to create engaging experiences for guests, coordinate promotions around major sporting events, and curate a game-day atmosphere.
Operational Oversight : Oversee all front and back-of-house operations, including inventory management, vendor relationships, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Financial Management : Track and optimize revenue, labor costs, and expenses, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Guest Experience : Ensure guests enjoy an outstanding sports bar experience by addressing any issues, improving customer satisfaction, and responding to feedback.
Event Management : Plan and execute events around sporting events, championships, and other promotions that drive traffic and engagement.
Marketing and Community Outreach : Work with marketing teams to promote the Skybox Taphouse brand, including social media presence and local community engagement.
Team Development : Recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a positive and energetic workplace culture.
Qualifications:
3+ years of management experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting, preferably with a focus on sports bars.
Strong knowledge of various sports and the ability to create excitement around sporting events.
Exceptional leadership skills with experience in team management, training, and employee development.
Proven track record of managing financials, including budgeting, cost control, and increasing profitability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
Familiarity with Toast POS systems, inventory management software, and basic HR processes.
