The candidate will provide technical subject matter expertise to support the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network cybersecurity oversight program. Must understand the breadth of cybersecurity factors to be managed and accounted for in a nationwide government/public infrastructure. Technical cybersecurity expertise must be applicable and adaptable to an evolving cyber threat environment. The candidate will perform a variety of cybersecurity activities including, but not limited to, the following:Cybersecurity compliance assessmentsCybersecurity risk assessmentsCybersecurity control assessmentsOrganizational and system risk assessments, analysis, and managementMitigation plan assessmentsCybersecurity researchThe candidate will support a variety of data analytics activities for improving oversight of the NPSBN and verification and validation of program deliverables, including analyzing complex structured and unstructured data; enriching data using both internal and externally sourced data; employing advanced data science principles, including state-of-the-art techniques (e.g., machine learning, artificial intelligence) to develop compelling stories; performing a wide variety of analytics tasks (e.g., link, pattern, statistical, behavioral, and geospatial analysis); identifying unobvious relationships within the data; creating visually stunning graphics and other presentations; identifying data gaps within existing program deliverables and opportunities for the addition of new data attributes; and performing other analytical functions.The candidate will lead and develop standard-based cybersecurity-related briefing materials, white papers, and talking points with other government and industry stakeholders, with the intent to develop use cases to support recommendations and recommended modifications to the contract's cybersecurity verification and validation assessment plan as needed.With office partners and government counterparts, the candidate will support planning, coordination, and execution for meetings, including meeting design, agenda creation, materials development, facilitation, team goal setting, and detailed meeting summary development, coordinating follow-up after action items, presentations, and technical and administrative reports.This is a full-time position that becomes available on or around January 2024.Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 / yearQualifications
10+ years of experience in Information Security5+ years of experience with the wireless telecommunications and/or broadband industryExperience with 4G/LTE and 5G protocols and system architecturesExperience in the areas of security architecture, security implementation, vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, network security, and security control evaluationProven ability to create and document procedures and processesExperience preparing reports and presenting results to leadershipPossession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsPossession of excellent oral and written communication skillsExperience working both independently and within team environmentsAdditional Information
