With offices in San Antonio, TX, and DC, they support our members through training, funding, policy advocacy, and resources to amplify the impact of their programs and services. Our client’s Network members invest in their communities by building affordable housing, addressing gentrification, supporting small business growth, and providing financial counseling on issues including credit building and homeownership.Best-in-Class Benefits and Perks:We value our employees’ time and efforts. As a key member of the External Relations team, you will oversee and drive all organizational marketing and communications efforts. You will shape and amplify our voice, lead strategic communications initiatives, and enhance brand visibility across diverse platforms.To thrive, you should have:Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field (advanced degree preferred) with 7-10 years of experience in public relations, communications, or marketing.Proven ability to build relationships with media, secure high-impact placements, and excellent writing and editing skills across print and digital media.Leadership experience managing strategic communication, media relations, and marketing programs to advance organizational goals.Expertise in digital marketing strategies, including social media management, SEO, and analytics.Strong leadership, team-building, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively translate strategic thinking into action plans and mentor teams.Don’t be discouraged to apply if you don’t meet every requirement. You may be the candidate for this role.It would be great if you have:4+ years of nonprofit sector experience.Knowledge and experience with software products such as CVENT or other event software, SharePoint, Concur, TSheets, Smartsheets, and membership management software.Your key responsibilities and duties as the Director of Communications will include:Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to elevate the company’s brand and increase visibility among key stakeholders, including media, policymakers, and funders.Create and execute marketing strategies to build relationships with high-level external audiences, enhancing the company’s influence and reach.Lead content generation and distribution across online and print platforms, ensuring engagement and measurable impact while managing all collateral materials.Align the annual communications plan with the company’s strategic goals, identifying and addressing emerging challenges and opportunities in partnership with leadership.Effectively communicate the company’s mission and impact by representing it at conferences, public speaking engagements, and panel discussions.Oversee and mentor a communications team, ensuring professional growth and the successful execution of communications strategies.Ready To Lead Lasting Change by Shaping The Future Of Our Communities?
