Conducts fact investigation, reviews factual and legal data, and advises organizations on legal risks and appropriate legal action to be taken. Handles class action litigation on the company’s behalf or coordinates class action cases and other complex legal matters handled by outside counsel. Provides a variety of general legal services to internal clients as needed, including guidance on contracts, compliance and regulatory issues, and internal policy. Experience in class actions, complex litigation, product liability, consumer protection, or general litigation preferred.ResponsibilitiesManage litigations including pre-litigation, discovery, court proceedings, mediation, and settlementCommunication with business units and outside counselFact finding and preliminary investigations to assess and mitigate legal risksSupervise and manage outside counselReview and advise on motions, briefs, agreements, and any other relevant documentsCommunication with witnesses for deposition prepCommunication with insurer to review and enforce insurance policiesReview and advise on consumer protection or consumer fraud matters and/or warranty mattersProvide legal advice to internal clients on a variety of legal issues, including guidance on contracts, compliance, regulations, and internal policiesConduct legal research and analysisProvide periodic updates to internal stakeholders on case developmentsQualificationsJD degree with 1-3 years of corporate or litigation experience preferredAdmission to practice law in a U.S. state and eligible to practice law in New Jersey as in-house counsel (or recent law school graduates waiting for July 2024 bar exam results may also be considered)Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean requiredAble to travel domestically and internationally as needed
