Whether it’s executing powerful media relations strategies, launching digital thought leadership programs or developing creative campaigns to advance a specific policy issue—our team serves as trusted advisors to solve our nation’s most pressing challenges.ABOUT THIS ROLEBerlinRosen is seeking an Account Director to join our Impact Team to lead strategy and wins for account teams fighting and advancing justice in areas including, but not limited to, reproductive rights, impact investing, labor, combating antisemitism and environmental justice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference with impactful communications campaigns and mission-driven work.Role location:

This role is based in our New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. office on a hybrid basis. The Impact team is in-office at least 3 days per week.ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSAs an Account Director on our Impact team, you will…Lead strategic conversations and advance the communications strategy for multiple high-profile client accounts to deliver top-notch results for our clientsDevelop and oversee integrated campaigns that leverage public affairs, media and digital tactics to reach key audiences and achieve client goalsDirectly manage and mentor staff, and provide overall strategic direction and feedback for their development and client workCollaborate closely with the Impact management team to develop and inspire our team of strategists to be innovative and creativeEssential skills:Has 6+ years of relevant work experience in campaign politics, strategic communications, media relations, advocacy, journalism, or a related fieldIs an avid consumer of news, with a strong news sense and knowledge of the media, and experience engaging and maintaining strong relationships with key reporters covering the top issues of the day, from labor and economic justice, racial and gender equity to immigrant rights, healthcare, climate and moreStrong written and oral communications skillsAbility to multi-task easily, including handling multiple assignments at once, working quickly and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detailsHas a personal commitment to and knowledge of social justiceUnderstands organizing and advocacy communications, including social media campaigning, writing for the web (website copy, social media posts, articles etc.), local, state, or national politics, and how to engage with members of the media for both rapid response and long lead storiesEnjoys managing people and has experience in successfully motivating, leading and mentoring a diverse team to meet objectivesNote: Interested in this role but it’s not quite the right match? BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.Salary range
