SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Analyze customer inquiries for ISBM, IBM and IM opportunities and determine process and compare that to corporate-wide options and capabilities to determine the optimum manufacturing solutions. Evaluate and define capital and operating costs associated with these solutions and recommend selling prices consistent with the marketplace and corporate guidelines.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain awareness of corporate-wide ISBM, IBM and IM manufacturing capacities.Analyze customer inquiries for ISBM, IBM and IM blow-molded containers and other parts, compare opportunities with existing and/or projected manufacturing capacities and identify optimum manufacturing solutions.Define capital and operating costs associated with these solutions and recommend selling prices consistent with corporate guidelines.Develop major price proposals.Advise and coach Pricing Analysts in identification and application of appropriate manufacturing parameters to be used for individual bottle inquiries.Maintain regular dialog with Operations and Operational Excellence teams to maintain awareness of new technology and process developments relevant to the business and to ensure team leaders are aware of relevant changes in market trends and projected costs.In conjunction with Sales Directors, help track market pricing and recommend pricing strategy to optimize market share and profitable growth.
EDUCATION:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Marketing Research, Business (Finance/Accounting), or related field.
Preferred:
MBA
EXPERIENCE:
Required : 2 + years of prior business experience
Preferred:
Experience in marketing/pricing and financial analysis as well as experience in plastic bottle/closure manufacturing operations and plastics processing
SKILLS:
Required:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Analytical and strategic thinking skills. Ability to handle multiple projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Preferred : Financial modeling, manufacturing
