The Grants Manager will play a crucial role in securing and managing funding to support the agency's mission. This position involves researching grant opportunities, writing proposals, and overseeing grant administration to ensure compliance with funder requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent writing skills, and possess a strong understanding of the nonprofit funding landscape.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant Research and Identification: Utilize websites and online databases to identify and research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Key resources include Grants.gov, Foundation Directory Online, Candid, and other relevant platforms. Evaluate grant opportunities to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.Proposal Development: Support the VP of Grants in the development of complex grant applications in addition to writing smaller grant opportunities to meet our revenue goals which requires compelling grant proposals and applications that clearly articulate the organization's needs, goals, and impact. Develop and manage a grant proposal calendar to ensure timely submissions.Grant Administration: Oversee the administration of awarded grants, including tracking budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. Maintain accurate records of grant-related activities, including correspondence, reports, and documentation.Budget Management: Develop and manage grant budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to funder restrictions. Work with finance and accounting teams to track expenditures and prepare financial reports for funders.Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit external grant reports, including financial statements and progress reports, to funders in accordance with grant agreements. Monitor and ensure compliance with all grant conditions and regulations. Prepare and submit internal grant reports identifying grants in development, proposal submitted, and grants awarded.Database and Website Management: Utilize grants management software and databases to track grant applications, reporting deadlines, and funder interactions. Regularly update and maintain information on grants databases and websites, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.(These job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of duties. Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant writing and management, preferably in the nonprofit sector.Proven track record of successful grant writing and securing funding.Commitment to ongoing professional development.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Strong understanding of grant administration, budgeting, and compliance.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management and prospect identification software (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Candid, Grant Station).Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve problems.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Passionate about the agency's mission and vision.CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid Driver's LicenseCertificates of acknowledgement required: Conflict of Interest, Code of Ethics, Confidentiality agreements, IT Systems and Security, Anti-Fraud, HR Employee Acknowledgement Form.Applicants must successfully pass a drug screen and background check as a condition of employment.

Salary Description

$65,000-80,000
