Job Summary:
The inspector is responsible for performing final and in-inspection to aerospace parts against a customer's or internal blue print.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Inspect In-process parts and fully machined parts with standard toolsPerform first part inspectionsInterpret job router/manufacturing orderPerform verifications of part identification and configurationsArrange inspection queues to identify work priorityIdentify and segregate non-conforming productAble to be trained on GD&TUse basic inspection tools such as surface plates, micrometers, height gages, etc. to inspect partsPerform full first article inspectionBasic part transportInterpret certificationsPerform basic maintenance of tools and equipmentMaintain area cleanliness and organization within 6S initiativeComply with PCC Code of Conduct Requirements and all PCC Cardinal Rules (e.g., Quality and Safety).Observe all company policies and proceduresAdhere to the Quality Management System (QMS)In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of Company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.Performs other duties as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED requiredAble to work 1st or 2nd shift1+ years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong technical skillsExcellent verbal, written and organizational skillsMust be able to read, write and speak EnglishMust be able to read blue and understand prints, Engineering diagrams and sketchesExperience using measuring tools: micrometer, Dial Indicators Height Gage, CalipersMust be able to move/lift up to 35 lbs, may not exceed per EHS PoliciesKnowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y14.5 a plusExperience in forge industry is highly preferred but not requiredPHYSICAL DEMAND
