JOB SUMMARY

The

TLG Framework / Program Implementation Coach's

main function in the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Growth Department is helping with the successful implementation of our schools' instructional frameworks and/or programming, such as International Baccalaureate (IB), Expeditionary Learning (EL), Project-Based Learning (PBL), and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID). Reporting directly to the Chief Academic Officer and Deputy Chief of Curriculum and Instruction, this position will support up to two of the frameworks/programs and will serve as the main coordinator of support between the District and the framework/program external consultants. The focus of this role will be the integration of district-wide priorities, such as Accountable Talk or Literacy, within the framework/program, and the consistent implementation of key priorities of the respective framework/program across identified schools. The TLG Framework Implementation Coach will be a conduit across schools implementing the same framework/program. As such, this role will support the facilitation of collaboration, co-planning, and professional learning for educators in different schools who are implementing the same framework/program.

Using a data-driven decision-making process, this position gathers information on the implementation of the respective framework(s)/program(s) and collaborates with other TLG leaders to identify key trends and levers in academic and implementation data that can guide action plans and programmatic decisions.

The

may also be expected to attend meetings and/or deliver professional development relevant to the role that occur after the school day and potentially during the summer.

REPORTS TO: Chief Academic Officer and Deputy Chief of Curriculum & Instruction

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Expertise in Implementing One or More of the School Frameworks/Programs

Develop and facilitate the implementation of a support plan for the 2024-25 school year for the respective school framework/program.Coordinate, organize and lead teams of teachers around utilizing curriculum resources, framework/program implementation, and effective instructional planning and delivery, including coaching teachers and leaders on the framework/program as needed.Communicate with school and district staff around the respective frameworks/programs.Collaborate with framework/program consultants and other coaches and departments on planning, managing, and implementing respective frameworks/programs.Collaborate with department leaders on the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the contract.

Expertise in Data Analysis and Utilization:

Collaborate closely with district-level staff to develop and implement effective data analysis strategies.Assist in interpreting and utilizing formative and summative assessment data for informed planning around curriculum resources and instructional practices to ensure equitable student access to learning.Present data effectively to groups of stakeholders in a manner that is both comprehensible and impactful for student outcomes.

Data-Driven Decision Support:

Collaborate with district leadership to provide data support for decision-making processes.Assist in the development of action plans/SCEP based on data insights to address instructional needs.

Additional Duties:

Fulfill any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Academic Officer and/or the Deputy Chief of Curriculum and Instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS:Preferred: a minimum of ten (10) years of teaching experience.Demonstrates a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a teacher leader.Holds New York State Teacher Certification in Elementary education and/or Secondary certification areas.Exhibits strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.Displays expertise in one or more of the framework/programs.Experience providing professional development to teachers / staff.Commits to equity in instructional quality and possesses a deep understanding of curriculum development.

The TLG Framework/Program Implementation Coach requires proficiency in one or more of our schools' instructional frameworks / instructional programming, curricular and instructional, and the ability to communicate effectively to diverse groups. In addition, qualified candidates must be detail-oriented and able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to effectively plan and implement framework /program implementation including professional development.

SALARY:

The starting salary is $53,000. With proof of outside related experience and college transcripts, the salary will be increased pursuant to the Unit 1 contractual agreement.
