Let your free spirit discover connection at every corner with live music, common spaces that inspire, and rooftop views of the Burj Khalifa you can’t get anywhere else.Job DescriptionThe PositionThe Assistant Director of Sales - Corporate & MICE will report to the Director of Sales and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Corporate & MICE Sales, ensuring that the team meets or exceeds revenue, activities, and goals while providing proper training and development plans.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor competition and ensure a complete understanding of each hotel’s products.Establish business and social relationships within the industry and participate in public relations activities to increase sales leads.Monitor revenue and costs, assisting in developing strategies to maximize profits and minimize costs.Liaise with the Revenue & Reservations Manager to develop pricing strategies and peak season procedures for the Corporate & MICE segment.Handle the leisure market and achieve targets for corporate room nights.Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat business to maximize revenues.Prepare required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.Assist with compiling competitive intelligence information.Identify and target new markets for the leisure segment.Participate actively in prescribed sales training.Conduct monthly and annual performance reviews to ensure maximum employee satisfaction.Work effectively with all departments to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.QualificationsSPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:Degree in Business Administration and/or Hospitality Management.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the international luxury lifestyle hospitality sector, preferably in the MENA region.Team leadership, coaching, development, recruitment, and alignment within Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams.Strategic commercial planning and execution.Proactive, passionate, action-oriented, and results-driven.Organized, disciplined, dedicated, loyal, and a self-starter.Focused, energetic, and flexible leader with a vision.Fluent in English and preferably additional foreign languages.Assertive with a diplomatic approach to business.Top-level business management, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.High-level commercial and decision-making skills.Presentation and public speaking attributes.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
