Our client, an elite investment banking boutique, is seeking an experienced Director to join their prestigious M&A team. Since its founding in June 2015, our client has advised on over $850 billion in transactions across various industries, offering independent advice to stakeholders in a broad range of complex and transformative situations. With offices in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Stamford, our client provides a platform for top-tier professionals to excel in high-stakes financial advisory. Role can sit in NYC or SF.

Responsibilities As a Director, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on a variety of complex transactions, including:

Buy- and sell-side advisoryFairness opinions and special committee representationMerger advisoryCross-border advisoryTakeover defense and shareholder advisoryDivestitures, asset sales, and spin-offs

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the evaluation and preparation of sophisticated financial alternatives and quantitative analyses, including detailed models on leveraged buyouts, discounted cash flows, M&A accretion/dilution, and multiple valuation methodologiesSpearheading the execution of complex transactions and time-sensitive processes, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and agreement negotiationConducting in-depth industry research and competitive analyses to support investment opportunities and strategic decision-makingDeveloping and maintaining key client relationships, actively participating in client-facing situations and negotiationsCreating and presenting high-impact client marketing and pitch materialsProviding mentorship, guidance, and professional development to junior staffContributing to the firm's business development efforts and strategy formulation

Qualifications Our client seeks exceptional candidates who are highly motivated, team-oriented, and possess outstanding leadership qualities. The ideal candidate will have:

Extensive experience in sell-side mergers and acquisitionsStrong background in financial modeling, corporate finance, and accountingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding project management and organizational abilitiesProven ability to lead teams and mentor junior staffTrack record of building and maintaining client relationshipsExceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution (MBA or advanced degree preferred)Minimum of 8-10 years of investment banking experience, with a focus on M&ADemonstrated ability to lead complex transactions from inception to closeStrong network within relevant industries and financial communities

Expected annualized base salary range: $250,000 $275,000

The annual base salary range reflects the low and high targets for this position. The actual base salary may vary depending on factors including work location, job-related knowledge, and experience. This range represents base salary only; the total compensation package may include additional components such as performance bonuses and equity compensation.
