Description

This Chief of Staff (COS) will be supporting the executive of our Power Management Division (PMD). PMD designs and develops integrated power solutions for a broad base of end-users in different end-markets.

The COS is a critically important role, enabling them to work more effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This is a highly strategic and facilitative role that requires a combination of focus and flexibility. Requirements will vary as the team executes its mission, so a successful candidate will have a variety of past leadership, program management, marketing, operations, metrics-related experience, and a flexible nature to do what needs to be done to rapidly execute on priorities. Significant and effective cross-organizational teamwork, communication and alignment are required. The COS will hold the team together and have the maturity to keep the PMD point of view top of mind. An ideal candidate will also have knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and technology.

The Chief of Staff will have three main functions:

Operationally running staff, inclusive of coordinating and driving processes, understanding content, managing staff meetings and agendas, and proactively providing solutions to the GM of PMD.

Strategy coordination, inclusive of leading strategy planning process, content creation, program management capability, and having the ability to shape the strategy.

Represent and speak on behalf of the SVP of PMD in meetings. Preparing materials for meetings. Program management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, Master’s Degree preferred, MBA Helpful.

6+ years’ work experience in either Operations, Marketing, Strategy, Commercial or Project Management.

6+ years’ experience in Strategic Marketing, Product line or Business unit management.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of the semiconductor industry including an understanding of the manufacturing process.

Superior organizational skills and project/time management abilities, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Strong analytics and communications skills required, including the ability to present at an Executive level or to large groups.

Leadership skills with the ability to inspire others to achieve a common objective and drive cross-functional teams.

Strong Analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of information from multiple sources to draw conclusions.

Excellent PowerPoint, Excel skills apart from overall knowledge of financial/operational systems.

Flexible work style and hands-on with an attitude to dive into problem-solving.

Excellent communications skills with the ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions, with a willingness to challenge when necessary.

Requires the agility and range to lead, influencing outcomes and agendas.

Understands, prioritizes, and recommends sequencing of activities to optimize the effectiveness of rhythms and strategic updates.

Responsibilities include the following:

Lead the annual PMD strategic cycle.

Lead creation of business intelligence.

Lead engagement with corporate support teams.

Engage with and drive initiatives with divisional business and engineering leads.

Manage the divisional M&A activities.

Lead staff meetings and assume responsibility for strategic and cross-functional projects or initiatives.

Prepare, co-ordinate, and run monthly and quarterly business reviews for PMD.

Plan and coordinate employee and leadership communication.

Define and maintain an operating model, including KPI’s.

Coordinate communication cadence and channels for leadership team into the organization.

Act as a sounding board to senior leadership on matters of strategy, team efficiency, and operations.

Execute on strategic projects, both internal and to the broader organization.

Work with support functions, such as Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal to drive success of initiatives.

Interact and co-ordinate with other divisional, and business group level COS.
