About the Team:Vizio is looking for a Head of Data Science to manage mathematical modeling, experimentation, and analytics across the enterprise. We are looking for a dynamic leader to manage teams performing non-commoditized data work. The position can be held in one of several offices (Denver, Los Angeles, New York).
What You Will Do:
Lead the Data Science organization with vision and empathy.
Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Manage teams that develop and write algorithms for use in production.
Mentor senior team members.
Strategically investigate emerging technologies and their applications.
Evangelize Data Science across the organization.
Use data to inform product strategy.
Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
About You:
Trained researcher with a doctorate in a quantitative field.
10+ years’ Data Science management experience.
5+ years’ experience managing managers.
Fluent in Python and SQL.
High sense of ownership and results driven.
Technical knowledge of ad-tech and/or data licensing industries.
Solid understanding of predictive analytics, mathematical modeling, and statistics (theory, algorithms, and application).
Proficient with modern big data technologies and CI/CD frameworks.
