The Proton Medical Director will be responsible for organizational and clinical leadership as we prepare to roll out this exciting new technology to our community. The Proton Medical Director will be responsible for developing proton clinical protocols, overseeing training of other staff radiation oncologists, supporting clinical research, and engaging the surrounding medical community, all with the support of and in collaboration with our partner, Cancer Institute.Essential Job Functions:Maintain the highest standards and keep abreast of the latest treatment indications for delivery of proton therapy for our patients. Superb organizational skills will be required to direct and lead the proton team to deliver optimal, safe, and effective cancer treatment. Excellent communication skills will be required to maximize effective messaging to the medical and patient communities.Marginal Job Functions:Will need to understand and monitor the changing reimbursement landscape.
