full time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), day shift ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER (Registered Nurse 3)
to join the Abdominal Transplant team. The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide direct nursing care, train and manage staff, spearhead quality improvement initiatives, and ensure safe patient care practices. Oversight of Subset of Abdominal Transplant (Kidney, Liver, Pancreas) Duties.SCHEDULE:40 hours per week, day shift.RESPONSIBILITIES:Establishes and maintains credibility as a leader of day-to-day operationsOversees staffingProvides leadership for clinical and administrative functionsDevelops, coordinates, and maintains various work processes that ensure successful department functionPromotes effective communication among staff and patientsIdentifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps toward problem resolutionsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:BSN and 2 years of current or Surgical nursing experience including scrub and circulatePrevious charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experienceAn active Registered Nurse license in the State of WashingtonBLSABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKEUW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
