We know that our success leads to better outcomes, changed lives, and a more equitable society for generations to come.Job SummaryThe HR Business Partner will undertake a broad range of HR-related responsibilities. This will include talent attraction, hiring, retaining, and payroll administration. In addition, this role will also focus on performance management and will be a thought-partner and leader for professional development & training strategies and implementation. The HR Business Partner will report directly to the Managing Director of Human Resources. This position is based in the D.C. office (3-days/week).Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Partners with leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention, and professional development.Designs, plans, and implements human resources programs and processes for performance reviews, talent development, end-to-end employee life cycle which includes onboarding, development, offboarding.Supports the Managing Director of HR on talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Implements new hire orientation, onboarding and employee recognition programs.Creates development programs and initiatives that will support sustained growth for employees.Engage and implement HR strategic plans on DEI initiatives and Social ImpactAssess development needs for the firm, working closely with learning leaders with HR and across practices.Develop and deliver engaging learning & development opportunities for team members.Evaluate effectiveness of established and new programs and continuously improve as needed.Administer semi-monthly payroll for multi-state workforce and benefits administration.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and performance management systems, Paylocity experience is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.At least five years of experience as an HR Generalist; Learning & Development and implementation of DEI initiatives are a plus.SHRM or HRCI certification/s highly desired.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Must be able to access and navigate the organization’s offices.Compensation & BenefitsNormal work hours are 8:30 am through 5:30 pm Monday through Friday EST.Location: In-office (Washington, D.C.). At least 3 days in office.Competitive 401(k), healthcare, dental, basic life insurance, long-term disability, dependent care FSA, HSA/FSA, and transit benefits.Salary consideration will be commensurate with experience.
