Full-timeBusiness Segment: NBCUniversal LocalNBC10 and Telemundo62 are looking for a collaborative, dynamic and creative leader who can effectively oversee the editorial coverage on multiple platforms. The Duopoly Executive Producer will make decisions for the NBC and Telemundo-owned stations in Philadelphia.This position will be responsible for supervising the editorial content of newscasts, streaming and duopoly specials.The candidate must have a critical combination of both excellent news judgement and communication skills, focusing on optimizing duopoly collaboration.This position would report directly to the VP of News for NBC10 & Telemundo62.Responsible for the content and coverage decisions for NBC10 & T62 on linear and streaming channels in English and SpanishLead a team of Producers, Reporters, Photojournalists and Assignment Editors to gather news across the Delaware ValleyStrong editorial judgment as well as the ability to respond and make decisions in a breaking news situation across multiple platformsUse excellent news judgment to identify relevant and impactful stories for coverageWorks with production, IT, engineering and newsroom staff to ensure smooth and seamless show productionsWork closely with digital to implement a unified content strategy across all platformsStay current with emerging trends and developments to continuously improve content qualityPlan and execute on project-based assignments across platforms, including linear and our streaming channelsCollaborates with newsroom leadership, other NBC Owned Television stations and NBC News for special events planning as well as day-to-day coverageCommunicates with news management and assignment desk personnel to shape newscasts and determine the composition and flow of all assigned platformsParticipates in the performance appraisal process for assigned editorial staff in conjunction with the VP of News for NBC10 & T62Works with news leadership to ensure necessary training and coaching is provided for ProducersParticipates in recruitment efforts and facilitates newsroom orientation of new employees when neededTracks market competitive trends, develops and implements show content and format changes, and articulates vision and strategy to employeesWorks with Creative Services to craft promotions that attract a wide audienceBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 3 years experience working in news management or main show producing in a top 10 marketMinimum 7 years of newsroom newsgathering and/or production experience in top 20 market.Experience in copyediting, producing and desktop editingExperience selecting, managing, developing and motivating a team of experienced editorial news professionals.Eligibility Requirements:Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be consideredMust be willing to work in Philadelphia, PAMust be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and overnightsMust have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United StatesRequired On-Site:
