Careers At Hillcrest Children and Family CenterCurrent job opportunities are posted here as they become available.The Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) supports individuals enrolled in the Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) program. The RSS is responsible for helping clients adhere to their court-ordered treatment plans by connecting them with necessary services, professionals, and community resources. The RSS plays a critical role in ensuring that clients remain engaged in their recovery, adhere to medication and treatment plans, and transition smoothly from court-mandated care to long-term community support. The RSS will also be responsible for documenting progress and providing regular updates to the project team, clinicians, and court personnel.Duties and Responsibilities:Client Engagement and Support:Conduct ongoing assessments of clients’ needs, goals, and progress, and help facilitate the development and updating of individualized treatment and recovery plans based on the AOT requirements.Guide clients through symptom management, coping strategies, and medication adherence to ensure compliance with the AOT court-ordered treatment plan.Serve as the primary point of contact for AOT participants, supporting them in accessing mental health and social services, including therapy, housing assistance, and employment resources.Provide crisis intervention and support when needed, particularly in situations where clients may be at risk of hospitalization or other adverse outcomes.Treatment Adherence:Assist clients in adhering to their treatment plans, including attending appointments, participating in therapy, and following medication schedules.Accompany clients to medical, legal, and social service appointments, ensuring they have the support needed to fulfill court orders.Community and Social Support:Help clients establish and maintain natural support networks through participation in local services such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), self-help groups, and community centers.Assist clients in navigating social and governmental systems, such as applying for benefits (SSI, Medicaid), securing affordable housing, and accessing transportation services.Data and Reporting:Document all interactions and services provided to clients in alignment with AOT program guidelines. Ensure all progress notes are completed within 24 hours of service provision.Provide regular updates to the AOT project team, including clinical staff and the AOT Project Director, regarding client progress, challenges, and outcomes.Ensure timely entry of data into SPARS and other reporting systems as required for AOT program compliance.Collaboration and Coordination:Collaborate with mental health providers, case managers, and legal personnel involved in clients’ treatment plans to ensure coordinated care.Participate in regular AOT team meetings to review client progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.Training and Professional Development:Attend all mandatory trainings related to trauma-informed care, HIPAA compliance, forensic mental health, and other relevant areas of expertise necessary for AOT compliance.Other Responsibilities:Participate in the on-call system to provide after-hours support to AOT clients in crisis situations.Support family members and caregivers in understanding the AOT process and ensuring they have the tools necessary to assist their loved ones.Thank you for your interest in Hillcrest Children and Family Center.
