We seek an exceptional individual to join our IT-Information Learning Common team as the Information Technology Consultant - Foundation. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.Position ResponsibilitiesProvide consultative computing support to the campus community through the helpdesk phone and in person.Develop timely and practical solutions to a variety of user problems.Provide technical computing support and resolution to faculty, staff, and students via phone, chat, email, and in person on different operating system platforms, including but not limited to, Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.Ensure the computer labs are set up properly and enforce lab policies and guidelines.Provide assistance on the use of laser and wireless printing for desktop and laptop users within the campus.Make and deploy images for both Mac and PC Operating Systems.Assist with leading and mentoring student assistants.Create and maintain student working schedules and conduct student interviews.Coordinate and conduct new student hire training and on-the-job training schedules.Create reports for supervisors and update the website.Other duties as assigned.Essential QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Telecommunications, Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field or four years relevant full-time experience or an associate’s degree in a related field with two years of relevant full-time experience.Basic knowledge of the specialty work area demonstrated by an understanding and use of general principles and terminology. Ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes, and refer to appropriate parties for resolution. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.
