To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Internal Audit to lead our internal audit function. This role will report to the CFO and the Chair of Lyft’s Audit Committee and will partner closely with senior leaders across the company. They will be responsible for overseeing the internal audit team, developing and executing internal audit strategy, and maintaining a vibrant Enterprise Risk Management Framework that helps us manage risks in a structured and effective manner, which will support long-term business success.Responsibilities:

Identify and assess key risks and controls within the organization, and refine the comprehensive internal audit strategy to address themLead the company's Enterprise Risk Committee process, which helps the company’s leadership identify and evaluate the company’s top risksCo-develop a periodic risk based internal audit plan based on the company’s strategic risks and objectives for Audit Committee approval, monitor internal audit’s progress against the internal audit plan, and provide regular updates and reports to the Audit Committee and senior management on the status of internal audit activities and key findingsConduct internal audits by overseeing the planning, execution, and reporting of audits, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with professional standards and timelinesCollaborate with other departments to identify and assess emerging risks and develop strategies to mitigate themBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, the Audit Committee, external auditors, and regulatory authoritiesWork with the Audit Committee Chair and CFO to drive the agenda setting and preparation processes for the quarterly Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee meetingsProvide advisory and assurance services to management and the Audit Committee over other financial, technology, security operations and compliance processesPartner with other compliance and risk management functions to enhance governance, risk management and compliance in a fast-paced but highly regulated environmentDesign and implement best-in-class internal audit practices and policies and procedures in accordance with professional standards and aligned to the company’s maturityPrepare executive-level presentations and reporting, as well as practical recommendations linked to company prioritiesOversee the development and operations of the Internal Audit team, including leading, mentoring, and developmentEstablish departmental practices that align with The Institute of Internal Audit’s (IIA’s) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF)Build and leverage a network of peers at other companies to stay abreast of leading practicesBuild and maintain a bench of consultancies that bring needed skills to support department activitiesPrioritize and oversee overall departmental hours (capacity) for optimum utilizationWork closely with external auditors regarding matters related to internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)Work closely with the Legal department regarding ethics, risk and regulatory mattersExperience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, IT or other relevant fields; advanced degree a plusAt least one relevant professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, Chartered Accountant, etc.)15+ years experience in audit or compliance-related roles; significant leadership over an internal audit function desirable6+ years in a Sox-compliant environment performing assessments of financial controls, IT/technology controls, or other related experienceStrong knowledge of internal audit standards, risk management, and governance practicesExperience working in a technology platform company or in dynamic industries with significant regulatory requirements (e.g., financial services or healthcare technology) is a differentiatorProven track record of building and growing high-performing, engaged teamsExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to champion change management and influence diverse groups of stakeholdersAbility to work effectively with senior management and the board of directors.Great medical, dental, and vision insurance optionsFamily building benefitsIn addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have unlimited paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off401(k) plan to help save for your future18 weeks of paid parental leave. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #HybridThe expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco Bay area is $212,000 - $265,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
