The Manager of Consumer Insights – Portfolio Insights is responsible for identifying key consumer insights that allows Constellation Brands to build and nurture a strong portfolio of brands uniquely positioned in the beer category and deliver on business objectives. This role will act as a passionate advocate for the consumer to ensure we enhance our long and short term business outcomes. An ideal candidate should be comfortable sharing their POV and eager to insert their perspective based on general business understanding that stretches beyond research results. We are looking for a STRATEGIC PARTNER, FUNCTIONAL EXPERT, & CULTURE LOVER to help continue the growth on our category-leading portfolio of brands. This role will work across all of our beer brands - focusing on portfolio level initiatives to maximize the incrementality potential of our expanding and complex set of products/brands.Essential Job FunctionsCONSUMER INSIGHTS – CORE SKILLSETAbility to synthesize data from disparate sources such as primary, secondary, and syndicated with demonstrated experience developing into story-driven insights that are actionable.Expert in syndicated tools (ex. Numerator, Circana) and comfortable finding the story within large data sets.Lead development of research learning plans based on business and portfolio strategies and objectives; Partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand the needs of the business and recommend solutions to address key questions.Manage execution of all primary custom research.Proactively bring new ideas to stakeholders to help develop and refine brand strategies.Explore new capabilities & developments within the evolving world of consumer insights and share best practices with team.Comfortable with large and ambiguous projects – can help shape approach and delivery plan.STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPAt our core, we believe the Consumer Strategy & Insights team is a strategic partner to our key stakeholders. The ability to connect that dots between what is happening in the world and how it impacts our business.A balance of left- and right-brain thinking that can go deep on the data and provide a nuanced human perspective drawn from empathy and active listening.A natural curiosity about our brands and consumers and an insatiable desire to learn, grow, and develop yourself and others.Competencies:Strategic thinker (beyond research recommendations).Ability to balance science and art.Communicating effectively.Building relationships & teamwork.Influencing up.Customer/ consumer focus.Initiative and results orientation.Planning and organizing.Qualifications:A minimum of 8-12 years of market research experience at a research company, ad agency and/or CPG company.Minimum 2 years of experience of client-side CPG insights.Academic and practical experience with a wide array of brand, packaging, advertising, and innovation research methodologies.Proven ability of analyzing and interpreting consumer/market data points and connecting them in ways that yield meaningful and actionable insights (vs. merely reporting facts).Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills.Strong analytic skills and critical thinking skills.Experience in reporting and analyzing syndicated data sources such as IRI, Numerator, Spectra, and Household Panel.Expertise with Excel and PowerPoint.Experience with statistical software programs (SPSS/SAS) tools a plus.Bachelor degree in marketing, research, or business.Experience working in alcohol beverage industry a plus but not required.Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.Hard-working, detail oriented, creative, and comfortable working with numbers.Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines within budget requirements.ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements:Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
