JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst (II) acts as a liaison between the Operations departments, Quality Assurance and Technical resources by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems. They work to develop, confirm, and document functional and technical requirements using various methods. A Business Analyst (II) may play a broader support role internally for larger projects.

Candidate must be local. This is not a remote position, at this time.

Primary Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned as necessary.):Research, evaluate, and analyze data and work flow processes to develop business requirements and/or present recommendations on process improvement and new project requestsFacilitate meetings across multiple departments to ensure accuracy of business and user requirements, develop test scenarios, acquire user approvals, and coordinate trainingFacilitate work sessions with technical resources and Quality Assurance to ensure all parties understand the business needs, and to discuss potential solutions, timelines, and any project dependenciesWork independently and lead assignments/projects of low to moderate complexityAccept and manage changing priorities and address issues swiftly and professionallyProvide troubleshooting and analytical support to end users or other IT staff when necessaryAdopt the culture of responsibility and accountability for one's own and other team members' contributions to the success of the companyMay be involved in QA/UAT activitiesAs needed, miscellaneous duties as assigned by managementPrimary Skills & Requirements

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience in professional work preferred5+ years of experience as Business AnalystExtensive experience planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting and managing business, functional and technical requirementsSpecific knowledge of Insurance Industry operations preferredAct in accordance with established IAS Standard Operating Procedures and maintain confidential informationDemonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills for varying audiences within the organizationDisplay flexibility with priorities within a dynamic work environmentExhibit self-direction and proactive problem solvingPossess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the fieldDemonstrate successful hands on project experience with varying scope and sizeUse tact when expressing ideas or opinions to respond to objections successfully. Facilitation skills are preferredWork to develop a broad technical knowledge of IAS Operational systems, processes, and proceduresDemonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
