The Bindery Manager is responsible for the profitable operation of the bindery. Responsible for establishing, implementing and evaluating company-wide objectives with timetables for the improvement of all phases of manufacturing operations and coordinating objectives with those established by other departmental managers and the General Manager. Solves problems, supervises, and encourages employee participation in problem solving. Develops and promotes a work environment of professionalism, high achievement and personal growth among all employees.

Role and ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain a presence on the manufacturing floor and provide effective communication with staff.Drives continuous improvement and safety management activities.Work to assure an effective transition between shifts and efficient coordination and collaboration between departments.Effectively resolve production problems.Meet regularly with team members collectively, as well as on an individual basis to monitor progress towards meeting objectives, track performance, coach and counsel as well as recognizing team and individual successes.Coaching and mentoring all direct reports for development and succession planning.Carry out performance evaluations of the team members and recommend performance awards and/or merit increases when appropriate.Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary process in conjunction with the Corporate Human Resources team.Participates in management meetings to assist in planning and to make recommendations on matters related to manufacturing, maintenance operations and sales.Represents the interests of the plant and the company in the community.Directs the company's production and support activities to ensure maximum effectiveness for the production of quality products within specified time and budgetary guidelines.Ensures products meet or exceed customer quality standards and required delivery schedules.Delegates appropriate activities to assigned personnel.Leads the development of overall production goals in support of company strategic goals.Provides leadership in continuous improvement and other special team activities ensuring completion of stated goals.Directs attention, action and follow-up to
