is responsible for the quality program for all products processed at WEISS NA and directly oversees the quality output of production at WEISS NA. This position will establish and implement the quality standards for products and services. As the company grows, the position will have the potential to oversee and manager members of the quality department. $55,000-$75,000Job ResponsibilitiesAdvanced quality planning for the entire value chainDevelop the quality and test plans to verify and safeguard the products and processesPlan and coordinate the annual audit programCarry out internal system and process auditsAssess maturity and create regular status reportsAnalyze and optimize weak points in manufacturing and assembly processesInform managers about quality related data and coordinate quality improvement measuresAct as the contact person for customers in all quality mattersSelect and further develop measurement methods, as well as optimization of measurement strategies.Review and evaluate continuously the further development of the quality management systemCoordinate, consult and train employees in all matters of quality management and Quality toolsOversee the preparation, updating and further development of the QM standard documents (WMS)Inform managers about quality related data and coordinate quality improvement measuresEnsure QM evidence documentation (record keeping)Participate in the evaluation of audit results and customer surveysPrepare the annual management reviewSupport the purchasing department in the qualification and monitoring of suppliersPerform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed

Desired Skills & ExperienceBachelor of Science in Engineering or related studies requiredAdvanced training as quality manager preferredMinimum of 5 years of management experience in quality managementMinimum of 2 years supervisory experience in engineering, production, or quality assurance department(s)Confident personality with a can-do attitude and hands on approach is a must.Experience in project and series business, in the application of preventive quality management toolsExperience with coordinating measuring machines & Polyworks inspection softwareKnowledge of the Lean system principles and methodsKnowledge of methods, such as 8D reports, statistical principles, SPC, FMEA, etc.Experience with CAQ tool (Babtec) is a plusProficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point, Outlook, etc.); experience with ERP programs (Microsoft Navision Preferred)Ability to lead, train, and mentor employeesAuditor training is a plusStrong desire to work with a fast-growing, high-tech leader in the field of factory automation equipment.Company DescriptionWEISS is a high-quality manufacturer of cam, servo, and linear motor driven automation components.
