We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team!Certified Medical Assistants are an important member of the clinical team and assure that patients have a positive, caring and professional experience during their office visit. Our CMA will work alongside the provider performing routine administrative and clinical assignments, to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

ResponsibilitiesPerform routine clinical tasks to support medical staffHandle all duties in a timely mannerSupply ordering & inventoryObtain and update the complete patient history and chief complaintGreet incoming patients and escort them to exam roomsCheck for any outstanding biopsies, bloodwork, etc.Assist providers with medical & cosmetic proceduresProvide and reinforce patient education following procedures and office visitsSet up for select procedures including biopsies, surgical proceduresPerform the following procedures: dressing changes, suture removal after demonstrating competency and approved by provider, taking patient measurements utilizing the landmarksComplete pathology requisition forms with complete and updated patient informationMaintain a daily log of biopsies and cultures performed by each providerMaintain an accurate account of specimens and record on cover sheets of lab bagsClean and sterilize instrumentsMaintain medical supply inventoryClean, organize and supply patient roomsDispose of garbage and medical waste materialCheck rooms at end of day to make certain they are stocked for the next dayReview and follow posted OSHA instructions/requirements including hazardous waste, needle stick injuries, emergency evacuations, etc.

QualificationsPrevious experience in healthcare administration or other related fields requiredDermatology experience is preferred, but not required for position. Training for medical and surgical procedures will be provided upon hiring.Customer service experience preferredMedical Assistant Certification preferred (will need to provide documentation)Ability to work well with providers to anticipate and support their needsBuild rapport other staff membersFamiliarity with medical billing proceduresExcellent Communication skills and strong organizational skills are a mustEducation: High School Diploma or GEDAbout Skin and AestheticsSkin and Aesthetic Centers is a comprehensive management care organization.
