Proficient in calculating doses and administering intravenous drugs and fluidsNinja-like reflexes to handle surprise tail wags and unexpected bodily fluid encountersExperience in catheter placementStrong time management, initiative, and task prioritization skillsKey Responsibilities:
To provide support to the oncologist with incoming consultationsManaging the flow of appointment scheduleAssist DVM with patient assessmentTriage and acquire vitalsProviding nursing skills and support with any treatment and diagnostic requestsObtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, fluids, and fine needle aspiratesAdministration of sedatives as needed and conducting required patient monitoringAdministering medications via oral, subcutaneous, intravenous, and intramuscular routesAdministering injectable chemotherapeutics as directed, following strict safety guidelinesRecord and communicate patient information accurately into patient medical recordsSafely and effectively restrain patientsCapable of monitoring patients under anesthesia (ventilator experience is a plus!)Maintain sanitary conditions of the hospital, clean and efficient working areaSchedule:
10-Hour ShiftTuesday - FridayDay ShiftHolidays (required)Pay Range:
