Job Summary:
Operates multiple spindle lathe type screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to machine metal bar stock by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties:
Effectively use shop packages to include, but not limited to, manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts and quality alerts.To ensure that only gages and tools that are used are within calibration dates.To set up and operate multiple machines simultaneously as required by the routing.To sort and rework non-conforming parts as requiredProduces product to established quality standards and notify your direct supervisor if non-conforming product is found.Participate in SQCD Board meetings as scheduledPerform quality checks per WEOP0855 and associated Inspection Record (QF08120)Request raw materials in a timely manner as needed for production and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures.Performs and documents preventative maintenance according to released methods 100% of the timeOther duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to safely and properly operate and set up various production machines.Basic computer knowledgeAbility to do simple math calculationsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and blue prints.Ability to write simple correspondence and fill in required quality forms.Ability to read and properly use measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gages, and other inspection devices as needed.High School Education or equivalentMinimum 2 years’ experience
