Speech Language Pathologist (Speech Teacher) - Long Term Substitute

The West Seneca Central School District is currently seeking a long-term substitute for a Speech Teacher at the elementary level. This will be a full-time, temporary appointment beginning immediately through October 14, 2024, for an individual who holds certification in the Speech tenure area. This position may extend further, on a per-diem basis, to assist our Pupil Personnel Services and Special Education departments fill current and future substitute vacancies.
The selected individual will receive teacher's salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association's collective bargaining agreement and prorated to the long-term appointment timeframe.
Roles:
Speech teacher working across all levels - K through 12, ensuring educational relevance in general education and special education classroomsProviding Speech Language therapy to studentsServing a wide range of disorders (speech sound disorders, language, fluency)Highlighting language/literacy and culturally competent servicesRole may include, but not limited to, working with students in the home/non-public buildings or sites outside the school campus.Range of responsibilities:
Prevention, assessment, interventionData collectionCompliance - appropriate teaching certificate and NYS license (or ASHA CCC) for Medicaid billingAbility to work with families, students and collaborate with teachers and administration
Previous completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
Building/Location: West Elementary
Salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association collective bargaining agreement. The candidate will report to the building Principal and the Director of Special Education.Job Qualifications Certification Type
