About the unitTaylor is a 9 bed Short Stay Unit. Our Short Stay Unit provides services for a diverse patient population from Oakland, Monroe, and Wayne County. Our leadership model is Servant Leadership. We base all actions for patients and staff on two primary goals: Treat everyone with respect and dignity and to Treat others as we would want to be treated. The Taylor SSU has self-scheduling and an engaged staff that is empowered to make changes. Additionally, we value strong collaboration with our providers and ancillary departments.About Taylor Hospital A Magnet-designated hospital that is a recognized health care leader serving the area since 1977. It offers specialty services that include 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT with cardiac scoring, fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK and elastography). Scope of workThe RN, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge. The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes. TNCC within 1 year of hire/transfer. ENPC within 15 months of hire/transfer+ Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years+ Prefer RN experience.
