Job Description:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in caring for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute care plans, conduct diagnostic tests, and administer therapeutic treatments.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct diagnostic tests such as spirometry, arterial blood gases, and pulmonary function tests.Assess and manage patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary issues.Administer treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatment strategies.Monitor patient responses to therapies and make necessary adjustments.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient care plans.Maintain detailed patient records and document all interventions and treatments.Follow all safety and infection control protocols.Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred.Proficient clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory care techniques and equipment.Ability to excel in a fast-paced healthcare setting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.CPR and BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.Benefits:
