Responsibilities:
Help manage the planning and design stages of construction projects.Contribute technical expertise to project drawings and designs.Observe construction and conduct field inspections on construction projects in various stages of completion ensuring compliance with specifications and the use of certified materials.Assure that contract specifications are followed by the contractor and report any deviation from specifications.Design and ensure the safety of temporary structures used during construction.Collaborate with surveyors in establishing reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that affect construction.Draft and present reports on topics related to projects such as environmental impact statements and right-of-way descriptions.Estimate materials, equipment, and labor needed to determine project costs.Collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure projects progress properly.Collaborate with surveyors to establish installations or reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that will affect construction.Monitors project progress and ensures design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards are met.On completion of a project, inspects, repairs, and maintains the structures as needed.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
2+ years of experience developing plans, solutions, and designs in managing and coordinating oversight of facility and infrastructure projects, involving construction or maintenance of facilities, systems, and roadways.Previous work as an Engineer on roads, bridges, or other construction and water worksBachelor's degree in engineering.Candidate must be able to obtain an interim security clearance.
