The Children's Hospital of the University of Illinois scoredin > 6 specialties for three years in the US News and World ReportSurvey. The Partnership for Pediatric Care encompassing the inpatientunits at Children's Hospital of the University of Illinois (CHUI) and CookCounty Health includes more than 110 beds (16 pediatric intensive care, 24step-down, and 70 neonatal intensive care unit). About the Section ofNeonatologyThe Section of Neonatology covers a 46 bed NICU and a Step-Down Special CareNursery System. This is a busy medical/surgical unit with multiple pediatricsub-specialists available.
Description:
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Hospitalists to join our team. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.
Primary responsibility is in in patient care service, teaching, scholarly activity, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Proportion of responsibilities will be dependent on applicant's interests, experience, and expertise.
This position includes patient care services during days, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Qualifications:
MD or DO from accredited medical school or foreign equivalent medical degree.Unrestricted Illinois license to practice medicine or Illinois license eligible.Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics is required.
