Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist - Sonographer OB GYN Job Specialty: Maternal Mobile Clinic Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day - 5x8 - Variable Times (07:00a - 3:30p, 08:00a - 4:30p, 09:00a - 5:30p) Guaranteed Hours: 24 Hours per Week Experience: One year of current clinical experience preferred License: ARDMS-registered in OB/GYN and Fetal Echo Certifications: Certified in Nuchal Translucency and Cervical Length, American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider Must-Have: Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment Job Description: - Administer ultrasound procedures to pregnant patients and operate ultrasound equipment. - Prepare patient rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures. - Assist with invasive procedures such as amniocentesis, Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, high-detail Level 2 ultrasounds, and anatomy surveys. - Follow prescribed techniques for administering general and specific ultrasound procedures. - Teach new technicians how to scan. - Observe patients and instruments during procedures, report unusual occurrences, and record patient conditions. - Maintain stock supplies and prepare the room, equipment, and materials for patients. - Enter exam procedures into a computer database. - Maintain files and filing of patient records. - Perform and assist with portable ultrasound exams. - Consult with perinatologists regarding findings to assist in diagnoses. - Clean and disinfect ultrasound room and equipment. - Consistently meet schedule and quality requirements. Preferred Skills & Experience: - Familiarity with McKesson PACS and Epic EMR preferred. - Experience as an MFM sonographer credentialed in OB/GYN, Fetal Echo, NT, and CLEAR. Education: - Graduate or a student in an accredited program by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or United States Department of Education, which conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical Ultrasound/Sonography. - An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Ultrasound/Sonography is preferred. - Substantial training and current clinical experience with ARDMS registry will be accepted.
