Short Description*HYBRID REMOTE SCHEDULE AVAILABLE*

Responsible for designing a treatment plan and carrying out dose calculations based on the Radiation Oncologist's prescribed course of radiotherapy or brachytherapy.Responsible for data recording and management related to patient radiotherapy and brachytherapy treatment.Responsible for assisting the Radiation Therapists in the simulation and setup verification of treatment delivery.Responsible for assisting the Medical Physicists in the quality management practices for ensuring appropriate patient treatment and appropriate use of computer hardware and software, and other equipment.

Experience RequiredMinimum two years of dosimetry experience required.

Education RequirementsGraduate of a JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) accredited dosimetry program;

OR

Licensed Radiation Therapist/Radiological Technician with additional dosimetry training.

License/Certification RequirementsARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist)

Certified;

OR

Board eligible

hold an active registration with the ARRTor foreign equivalent.

OR

Have a Bachelors degree in a science related to Medical Dosimetry.

AND

Completed at least 36 months(or 35 hours per week full time equivalent of 5,460 hours) clinical medical dosimetry experience under the direction of a certified medical dosimetrist or a medical physicist.

AND

Completed 24 CE credits approved by the MDCB during 36 months(or 35 hours per week full time equivalent) clinical experience. The proof of completion must display the MDCB course reference number.
