Job Summary:
Supervisor positions communicate all safety policies and procedures within their operation. Supervisor directs and coordinates activities to provide a safe environment for employees while maintaining fast and efficient services. This position requires working in a fast paced environment with time constraints to meet arrival and departure goals. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee.
Job Responsibilities:
Must report to work on a regular and timely basis; report directly to Manager on dutyPerforms all functions of an agent as neededEnsure employees are in compliance with uniform, appearance, and personnel protective equipment policies (safety toe shoes, shaving, uniform cleanliness, and jewelry)Conduct and/or assist in shift briefings, conduct lead meetings once a week to review changes, problems, or upcoming eventsSchedule and conduct safety meetings once a monthComplete monthly fire extinguisher inspection reportsSchedule and conduct foreign object debris (FOD) meetings once a monthAudit paperwork including (but not limited to) lavatory log, de-ice log,aeronautical communications log; daily shift paperwork such as shift report,Participate and/or conduct disciplinary measures including counseling is documented according to company policyCoordinates training with station trainer and/or managerReview manpower needs for schedule changes or overtime and assign vacant shifts to new hires based on operational demandsAssist manager in devising action plans for problem areas such as bag deals, aircraft damage, GSE damage, FOD, and complaints; ensure appropriate revisions are placed into appropriate manualsAssign special projects to team members to ensure a safe, efficient operationEscort various auditing agencies in absence of managementCoordinate proper handling OJI's including medical attention and corporate reportingUpdates dash and freight airway bills during hours that cargo is closed.Requirements:
Must possess computer experience (6+ months) and knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to navigate electronic devices (computers, fax machines, printers, timeclock, etc).A proven track record in supervising a business unit.Experience in operational planning and resource allocation.A working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.Must have a High School diploma, GEDMust be at least 18 years of ageCapable of processing information in a timely mannerMust have and maintain a Valid Driver's LicenseAble to proficiently speak, read, and write in EnglishBasic computer literacyPrevious ramp or airline experienceMust successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employmentMust clear a FBI fingerprint background checkPhysical Requirements
Must be physically fit to perform duties of the job including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of timeCapable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces and repetitivelyMust be physically fit to perform the duties of the jobWilling to work outside in all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noisesSpecific Working Hours
